Sometimes when we are busy living life, things will make themselves apparent so much that it almost seems like a duty or calling. When you see, feel, and know there is a purpose greater than your own needs. you have the choice to ignore these times and put your head back down, or look up and charge forward and do your best to make a difference.
When I started Helping Hands Foundation 8 years ago in El Salvador, it was in an attempt to do just that – charge ahead and do something for low income children in El Salvador. I do not believe there are borders on what a focused group of well-meaning and dedicated people can accomplish; therefore today, with the help of all the Helping Hands volunteers, we will extend our projects to the neighboring countries in Central America. We did many types of projects that positively influenced the environment, infrastructure, the homeless, and animals, but there was one thing that always stuck with me – the face of a child.
We will continue to strive to provide the so needed help and assistance to the many children in Central America so that they become accomplished young men and women, even though they were born in the midst of a huge disadvantage in comparison to other children in their surroundings.
It has been a wonderful experience working in Helping Hands. Helping others feels good, and helping the children to have a better future fells even better. I'm so blessed to get to be a part of this amazing project. I believe we all have an obligation as a community to help the unfortunate. I invite everyone to join us and get involved. Make a Difference, and help us make the world a better place. May God bless you all.
Being part of Helping Hands gives me that rare, feel-good factor because it gives me the chance to make a real difference by helping the people who need it most. As a parent I want to paint a better future for my daughter and giving back is a great start. I urge everyone to join us in our journey, Being part of Helping Hands will give you a sense of fulfillment, and seeing children smile is a HUGE reward!
